Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pangasinan, La Union and Cagayan will converge at the Athletic Bowl in Baguio City on December 29-31, 2006 for their “Deliverance at Hand” District Convention.

The program will emphasize that mankind needs deliverance from the effects of inherited sin and its consequence, death. Talks and symposiums will cite comforting scriptures that detail God’s loving provision for everlasting deliverance made possible by the sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ.

Witnesses believe that current events fulfill Bible prophecies indicating that God’s day of reckoning is fast approaching.

Other activities include a baptism ceremony on Saturday and a Bible-based drama presentation on Sunday. The drama will show how godly obedience is required for one to gain deliverance.

The public discourse “Deliverance by God’s Kingdom Is at Hand” will be presented on Sunday afternoon. The speaker will discuss why there is a greater need for deliverance now than ever before and how God will provide salvation by means of His Kingdom in the hands of Christ Jesus.

Program sessions start at 8:30 a.m. each of the three days of the convention. The public is invited. Free and no collection is taken.
