Mayor Libunao co-sponsors media sports Olympic
SAN FABIAN — Mayor Mojamito Libunao has agreed to be among the major sponsors of the Mini-Olympics 2006 for Pangasinan’s media practitioners slated by the first week of December at the San Fabian gymnasium.
The mayor made the pledge on Monday in a meeting with Pangasinan Press and Radio Club (PPRC) president Charles Tabayoyong and Myla Hortaleza, sports committee chair person.
The mayor also suggested that the PPRC champion basketball team face his town’s cage champion in an exhibition game.
“When we exercise, we are not only strengthening our human body but also our mental system. You as media persons who are always busy must also unwind once in a while for you to recharge and ease the monotony surrounding you,” the mayor said.
Tabayoyong also called on all members of the media to participate in the sportsfest to strengthen their bond of unity, fellowship and camaraderie. — A.P.E
