The much awaited amateur boxing tournament dubbed “Congressman Mark Cojuangco Boxing Cup” will be staged on November 9 at the Urdaneta City Sports and Cultural Center.

      Former Villasis mayor Ramon Morden, chief coordinator of the event, said the tourney, open only to boxers from the fifth district of Pangasinan, will have two categories: 12-13 years old and 14-15 years old. Cash prizes and medals are at stake.

      He added that boxers from La Union will stage exhibition matches against Pangasinan’s best aged 18 years and above.

      Another highlight of the one-day fest are goodwill bouts between members of the Philippine national team and national teams of Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
