Four US-based lasses vie for Miss Urdaneta

URDANETA – Hundreds of overseas residents are expected to come home in December for the city fiesta to support their respective favorite candidates who were earlier invited to join the city’s pageant.

This was disclosed by Mayor Amadeo Perez Jr. who traveled to the United States to  personally invite the overseas beauteous Urdaneta residents.

 Four lasses from the U.S. will vie for Miss Urdaneta City 2006 in a popularity contest that aims to raise funds to finance worthy projects of the city.

They are Lanie Christine Vilano of Los Angeles in California whose parents are from barangay Nancalobasaan; Princess Villacorta-Cabaluna of San Jose, California, whose parents are from barangay Cabuloan; Audrey Adviento Cerame of Las Vegas, Nevada whose parents are from barangay Pedro Orata; and Saintly Dullaga of Kauai, Hawaii whose parents are from barangay San Jose.

Miss Vilano is sponsored by Original Urdanetans of Long Beach, the City Division Office, the Urdaneta National High School and 189 nationalized high schools.

Miss Cabaluna is sponsored by the Urdaneta Association of America Inc. Association of Barangay Councils, Urdaneta Districts I and II, DepEd, Parents Teachers and Community Association.

Miss Cerame is sponsored by the Urdaneta Association of Las Vegas, Nevada, the United Urdaneta Association of Club Hawaii, Pangasinan State University. — APE
