Western Pangasinan gets SWAT-trained cops
LINGAYEN– Forty-one (41) policemen from western Pangasinan recently completed their rigorous 48 day-training of Special Weapon and Tactics Course 02-2006 and were certified SWAT members during graduation ceremonies held in Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, Lingayen.
The Director of PNP Special Action Force, Police Sr. Supt. Felizardo M Serapio Jr, was the guest of speaker during the graduation and closing ceremony.
The SWAT trainees came from Alaminos, Rosales, Bolinao, Bani, Sual, and Anda Police Station were trained by staff of Special Action Force Training School.
Before the graduation proper, the SWAT students performed high risk checkpoint scenario and close-quarter battle capabilities.
The “Top Gun” award was earned by PO1 Alano Caburao while the “Strongman” award was presented to PO2 Elmer C Dameg.
Police Sr Supt. Alan Purisima, Pangasinan provincial director, welcomed the guest speaker. Also present were Rosales Mayor Ricardo Riveta, Agno Mayor Leticia Rosete and Alaminos City Administrator Wilmer Panabang.
