The City of Dagupan’s position as the center of trade and commerce in Region I was again affirmed with the decision of Sony Philippines to establish a showroom at ground floor of CSI the City Mall in Dagupan City.

Opened last Wednesday in a ceremony attended by Toshiya Kagita, vice president of Sales and Marketing of Sony Philippines, was the Sony Square managed by Brian Chua.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez who hailed the opening of the Sony show room as the best proof that the company recognizes Dagupan’s lead role in the economic development of Region I.

The showroom will display top of the line and newest models of Sony ranging from television, video cams, digital camera to DVD and others.

With Sony Square, Kagita said, people from Pangasinan and Northern Luzon need not go to Manila anymore since these products can be bought here at the same price levels.

Kagita said the Sony Square will not only sell products but will also demonstrate the features of products to the customers.

“Of course, this is another investment and feather in the cap to Dagupan City and CSI the city mall, manifesting highly the preference of investors to come to Dagupan,” Vice Mayor Fernandez said.

Romel Miave Nery, Sony branch manager, said the company chose Dagupan because it has the edge in both population and business potentials over other cities in Region I.
