LPG price set to soar more
ANOTHER round of increase on the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas or LPG is expected this month.
This was learned from the Department of Trade and Industry which said this is due to the high demand and higher costs of production of oil in the world market.
LPG is now sold at P462 from various LPG retail stores in the province but next week, it may increase to P485 or an increase of P22.50.
Marjury Loresco, a DTI officer, said there may be a cause for worry if the selling price of LPG breaches P512 level.
Loresco expressed fear that consumers may begin using charcoal and can risk efforts of communities at reforestation. – AQL
