MANGALDAN – The Sangguniang Bayan is set to probe the town’s Slaughterhouse Master and make him account for the alleged butchering thereat of stolen cattle.

Councilor Jessie de Guzman proposed the investigation of Mrs. Veronica Juanatas whom he accused of not doing anything to stop the slaughtering of the stolen animal.

“It is degrading and insulting that the head of the slaughterhouse facility does not know what is happening in her office,” De Guzman charged.

De Guzman had learned that somebody brought a stolen cow and had it butchered inside the slaughterhouse without requiring the pertinent documents required before an animal could butchered.

He accused Juanatas of being remiss in her duties for failing to check if the documents of cattle being slaughtered inside the facility were in order,

The councilor suspected that this may not be the first time that a stolen animal was butchered at the Mangaldan slaughterhouse, thus an investigation by the SB on the matter is in order. – APE
