City Administrator Wilmer S. Panabang and city agriculturist Ernesto De Leon received two computers, a digital camera and cellular phones at the city library during the presentation/seminar on E-Kawayan Technology Promotion and Commercialization Options here.
ILARRDEC Consortium Director Stanley Malab turned over the new set of equipment.
Farmer-leader Jaime Navarro, named by ILARRDEC as the city’s Magsasaka Siyentista, who will soon be trained as information provider using the new technology.
Panabang thanked ILARRDEC for choosing as one of the key beneficiaries of the K-AgriNet Program in the country.
Malab said the rural areas still have no access to information and communication technology tools so K-AgriNet was endorsed to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
