Dagupan Trade Show opens Apr. 25

The multi-faceted show/expo organized by city Councilor Alex de Venecia will be launched at the 2nd/3rd Floor of the New Malimgas Market in Dagupan City on April 25-May 8, 2006.
As of presstime, two Manila based hotels, two real estate developers, two travel agencies, one Canadian Immigration Consultant, six international recruitment agencies specializing in the employment of workers to Taiwan and Middle East have signed up to participate in the event.
De Venecia said that the event was the result of his continuous networking with government agencies, NGO’s and the consumers not only in Dagupan but also in other areas; to pursue his plans to help provide economic opportunities to all sectors.
After his successful management of the Dagupan City Fiesta, as the 2005 Hemano Mayor, which earned P6 million in revenues, he organized the Show/Expo to coincide with the month-long Bangus Festival 2006 celebration.
Among the government agencies that expressed support for the event were Departments of Trade and Industry, Tourism, Education, Labor and Employment, POEA, TESDA and CREBA.
Private groups like NEGOSYO Association headed by Jose Conception III, Foodcart Association of the Philippines led by Jose Rosuello, Entrepinoy headed by Zenaida Umbal have also manifested support.
De Venecia has thanked DTI Dagupan and Region I Officers, particularly Undersecretary Carissa Cruz- Evangelista, for their support.
