Bangus Festival prelims wow other towns
LET the gaymes begin.
The second leg of the elimination rounds of the “Basketball Gaymes -Battle of the 3rd Kind” and the search for the “Bangus Festival King and Queen” held at San Jacinto and Mangaldan on April 8 and 9, provided fun and excitement and drummed up the staging of the 11-day festival proper on April 20 to May 1.
In his talk at the Mangaldan Plaza, City Mayor Benjamin Lim invited the officials and residents of the municipalities to stage same event in other congressional districts of Pangasinan.
The first leg of the elimination rounds for the two competitions were staged at the municipalities of San Fabian and Manaoag on April 1 and 2.
Eight teams of gay players showed their prowess in playing basketball.
“They are playing serious basketball in their own style,” Aquino said.
In San Jacinto, San Fabian beat Dagupan-DCNHS with a score of 30 over 17, while Mangaldan, trounced Dagupan II with 71-4 score. In Mangaldan, Dagupan-DCNHS blasted Dagupan II with 24-3, while Mangaldan outscored Manaoag with 33-11.
There will be another round between Manaoag and San Fabian and Dagupan-DCNHS and Mangaldan on April 26 in front of the City Museum before the championship games on April 28.
After the basketball games, gorgeous men and women, eager to make it to the finals night of the search for “Bangus Festival King and Queen,” fascinated the crowd.
The first elimination round for the Bikini Open, held at the Manaoag Sports Complex, was participated in by 18 male and female candidates.
Nine men and 3 women joined the elimination round in San Jacinto, while there were 13 men and 9 women who regaled the crowd in Mangaldan.
The candidates paraded their curves and muscles in festival costumes, sexy casual and bikini attire.
After a series of elimination rounds, the event committee will decide on who will be the 15 pairs of candidates for the grand finals, and the list of candidates will be revealed later on.
The much-anticipated finals night for the Bikini Open is on April 27 at the City Plaza.
