Pinay Braille awardee, DWAD guest
TWENTY-ONE year old Minnie Avelline Posadas Juan, the first Filipino Braille International Awardee, has been invited to grace the 49th Recognition Day of the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan on March 29 at the school’s gymnasium.
This was announced by Lelia Rosario Chua Sy, president of the DWAD Parents-Teachers Association.
Ms. Juan, who graduated Magna cum laude in Bachelor of Arts in English from the Trinity College in Quezon City and consistent honors students before, will deliver the inspirational message to inspire students and their parents.
She is the first Filipino Braille International awardee during the 3rd Onkyo Braille Essay Competitions held in Japan.
In the same occasion, City Schools Superintendent Dr. Aurora Tiu Domingo will induct the new officers led by Sy.
The other officers are Aileen Dario Salindong, vice president-internal; Marietta Oviedo Perez, vice president-external; Angelita Martinex Camba, treasurer; Carol Sanguyo Librojo, assistant treasurer; Wila Ata, secretary; Janice Padilla Doria, assistant secretary; Gina Bartolome Wong, auditor; and Edwin Rafallo Medina, assistant auditor.
