School guards denounced by irate residents

SUAL – Two school security guards of the town’s public school have been denounced by residents.


Some 50 residents of sitio Mayaman, Poblacion here have signed a petition asking the local police to investigate, David Piol and Alberto Ragojos, for intimidating the whole community on several occasions by firing their guns indiscriminately.


Piol and Ragojos are actually security guards assigned to secure the premises of the Central Elementary School.


At one time, the two were reported to have discharged their firearms to scare youth who entered the premises of the school they were guarding in order to gather firewood.


The two are now under investigation by the police provincial office to determine if they have licenses as security guards.


Police Chief Medardo Soriano Soriano maintained that after verification, he found the two to be really security guards and not originally suspected as Mayor John Arcinue’s armed bodyguards.

 
Separate cases for indiscriminate firing and illegal possession of firearms are now being investigated by the local police here. –  APE
