Roque, Region One’s best City Jail Warden
Dagupan City — Jail Warden S/Insp. Roque Constantino Sison III has added another feather to his cap after he was conferred the regional Best City Jail Warden for CY 2005 at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) regional office recently.
The regional award was based on the city jail warden’s exemplary performance, commitment to excellence and dedication to service.
Mayor Benjamin Lim commended Sison for being a constant awardee of the Best City Jail Warden, because of his enthusiastic and efficient leadership in the detention center.
Sison was a three consecutive national awardee of Best City Jail Warden from CY-2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004, back-to-back with the Best City Jail Award for Dagupan City.
Sison explained that he was not able to obtain the national award this time, because of the time grade, which was short for vying the national award requirement of one year. It can be recalled that another officer took over the wardenship of the jail in the year 2004 when Sison took up mandatory schooling as a requirement to the next higher rank.
“Without your trust and confidence in my leadership, and the support you have been giving the center, I would not have been given this prestigious award,” Sison told Mayor Lim in a letter.
Sison said that the mayor has been his inspiration and strength in relentlessly serving the detainees despite the challenges that go with his duty as an administrator.
According to Sison, the mayor’s concern to the welfare of the city jail’s clientele and dedication to service deserve praise and emulation.
