LINGAYEN — Some 4,665 patients were served during the two-day Kalusugan sa Barangay (KSB) medical-dental-surgical mission held in the towns of Laoac, Labrador Mangatarem and Urdaneta City last February 16 and 17.

Spearheaded by Dr. Jamie Eloise Agbayani, wife of Gov. Victor Agbayani, the Kalusugan sa Barangay has already served over 155,000 patients who have availed of free medical, dental, surgical services, vitamin supplements, and even free medicines, family planning, counseling and similar health services.

Initiated by Gov. Agbayani to bring basic health services to the grassroots, the health assistance package consists of medical, dental, surgical and public health services, immunization and micro-nutrient supplementation for children, counseling on reproductive health, family planning, nutrition, and even environmental sanitation.

Among those who welcomed the KSB contingent in barangay Cabuloan in Urdaneta City was Mayor Amadeo Perez, Jr. who expressed his gratitude to Gov. Agbayani and Dr. Jaime for bringing projects to the city.

Three weeks ago, Gov. Agbayani launched the rehabilitation of the Agno River Irrigation System in Barangay Bactag, Urdaneta City.

Perez not only thanked the governor who is serving  his third and final term, but quickly endorsed  Dr. Agbayani to be the province’s next governor.

Mas maganda kung magkaroon tayo ng gobernador na babae na masipag at mapagmahal lalo na sa mga kapuspalad,” Perez said in his welcome speech.
