FOR ECONOMIC REASON: Stop ‘longest grill’ event, Duque urges city brass

DESPITE assurance by city hall that no government funds will be used for the forthcoming  ‘Bangus Festival’, some sectors are not buying.  Lawyer Gonzalo T. Duque, president of Lyceum-Northwestern University, instead called on the city government to scrap planned activities aimed at clinching the longest grill event world record as he believes this is not in keeping with the national government’s austerity program.
