De Venecia turns over 100 laptops to teachers
MORE than 100 laptops were turned over by Fourth District Rep. Christopher de Venecia for use of teachers in schools under the Schools Division in Dagupan City and the Pangasinan Schools Division II.
Beneficiaries were in twenty five schools and 11 teachers who are part of the Alternative Learning System in Dagupan received laptops while 75 laptops that were turned over to teachers in Pangasinan School Division II.
The turnover of laptops is part of the “Bayanihan to Recover as One Act” passed by Congress, which De Venecia has co-sponsored, and signed into law by President Rodrigo Duterte.
The law was designed to help the people rise and recover from the punishing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new laptops will be useful to teachers conducting online classes for students confined in their own homes because of the pandemic. The teachers have been using their personal laptops for their online classes.
Meanwhile, Congressman De Venecia was recognized by the prestigious Tatler Magazine for his valuable contributions in the fields of arts and culture. With the article title “Creative List” it recognized his works and described him as ” “Two-term Congressman representing the 4th District of Pangasinan, this young Creative is a brilliant man of law. Not only does he advocate for Philippine arts and culture, but he has also provided an avenue for local minds by co-founding the Anakbanwa Arts Residency Project in Dagupan City to give voice to more visionaries of our time.”
De Venecia is being hailed in Congress as the Champion of the Creative Industries in the country.
Tatler’s latest edition of the magazine was dedicated to the different strides taken by visionaries of the country in the creative fields. It focuses on the latest craze in arts, fashion, culinary, favorite destinations at night and exquisite products for people with discriminating taste and others that are part and parcels of the rich culture of the nation.
