THE Sangguniang Panlungsod, in a Zoom session on November 26, approved the use of ₱2 million from the Trust Fund of the City Agriculture Office for the implementation of the enhanced “Kadiwa ni Ani at Kita” program in Dagupan.

Under Resolution No. 8482-2025 authored by Councilors Marcelino Fernandez and Jose Netu Tamayo, the SP affirmed that the amount—provided by the Department of Agriculture under the 2025 Annual Investment Program—will fund the procurement of a supply chain delivery vehicle needed for Kadiwa operations. As a trust fund, its release requires SP authority to ensure proper utilization in line with budgeting and auditing regulations.

The resolution stressed that the delivery vehicle is essential to meet the program’s goals and maximize the DA’s assistance to the city.

The enhanced Kadiwa aims to boost the mobility, logistics, and distribution of agricultural and fisheries products, ensuring timely movement from producers to local markets, lowering food costs for consumers, and expanding income opportunities for farmers and fisherfolk. (Leonardo Micua)
