DECORP reduces power rates for November

THE Dagupan Electric Corporation (DECORP) announced a drop in its November electricity rate to P7.95 per kilowatt-hour, down from P9.21/kWh in October. The lower charge is attributed mainly to reduced prices in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), which helped temper the rise in transmission fees imposed by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).

DECORP said a household using 100 kWh this month can expect to save about P1.26 on its bill. It also noted that its Distribution, Supply, and Metering charges have remained unchanged since 2015.

The utility firm urged consumers to continue adopting energy-saving habits to keep monthly bills manageable. It likewise reminded customers to pay on time to avoid service interruptions, with payments accepted at DECORP offices and accredited partners, including banks, malls, and ECPay. (Ahikam Pasion)
