Malasiqui mayor puts order in public market
FISH vendors in Malasiqui who encroached on Magsaysay Street in the town’s commercial area were relocated to the public market by newly-elected Mayor Alfie Soriano.
In an interview over Aksyon Radyo Pangasinan, Soriano said since assuming office on July 1, he had met with the vendors and made it clear that they have to move to a more organized and safer area.
Residents had also frequently complained about vendors occupying the streets and causing Congestion and the mayor said the vendors understood the need for change in consideration of their welfare and public order.
Looking ahead, Soriano said there are plans to construct a new public market and revamp the town plaza next year to provide a better environment for both vendors and customers. (Ahikam Pasion)
