6 PUV drivers, operators get DOLE aid
SIX Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators in Mangaldan were recently awarded livelihood packages worth P178,486 from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
This assistance is part of DOLE’s enTSUPERneur program, designed to provide livelihood opportunities to PUV drivers and operators affected by the government’s Jeepney Modernization Program.
Each beneficiary received a ₱29,000.00 business package, which was screened by DOLE in partnership with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
The distribution of the livelihood packages was managed by the DOLE-Central Pangasinan Field Office (DOLE CPFO) and the LTFRB-Regional Franchising and Regulatory Office 1 in collaboration with the Mangaldan local government through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) led by Helen A. Aquino, and Marc Farrell Caberto, Labor and Employment Officer I.
Rhodora Dingle, DOLE CPFO 1 head, assured that they will regularly monitor and visit the businesses provided to the beneficiaries to ensure smooth and sustainable operations. (Ahikam Pasion)
