New laws for LTO upgrade in San Carlos, Bayambang signed
TWO laws were signed last week for the upgrade of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in San Carlos City and Bayambang, which is expected to expand and enhance the delivery of services.
Under Republic Act No. 12186, the LTO District Office in San Carlos City was officially recognized as a Class “B” district office, while Republic Act No. 12191 converts the LTO extension office in Bayambang into a Class “C” district office.
In a Facebook post, Third District Rep. Rachel Arenas, who authored the two House bills that became law, said the goal is to make LTO services faster, more organized, and more convenient for residents of the district and neighboring areas.
Arenas, who won a second term in the May 12 elections, vowed to continue pushing for meaningful legislation aimed at comfort, order, and progress for her constituents under the Bagong Pilipinas (New Philippines) program.
The two laws will take effect 15 days after their publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of national circulation. (Eva Visperas)
