DOST awards P14M fund to 7 Pangasinan MSMEs
THE Department of Science and Technology Region 1 (DOST-R1) awarded ₱14.1 million under the SETUP program to seven Pangasinan-based micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to boost innovation and productivity through upgraded equipment and technical support.
The recipients are: Caroline’s Palay Trading (Rosales) – ₱2.9M; Happy’s All-day Breakfast (Rosales) – ₱2.31M; Net Atlas Printers Plus (Dagupan City) – ₱4.8M; Ayamko Emas Poultry (Sta. Barbara) – ₱1.7M; Tailor Sweet Tailoring Services (Mapandan) – ₱200K; Bantog Samahang Nayon MPC (Asingan) – ₱529K and Balungao Farmville (Balungao) – ₱1.68M.
DOST-R1 Director Dr. Teresita Tabaog emphasized the agency’s commitment to inclusive, gender-sensitive, and technology-driven economic growth.
The funding is part of a broader ₱15.78M SETUP disbursement for 10 MSMEs in the province this year, and the DOST-Pangasinan encourages more entrepreneurs to explore SETUP opportunities at their Lingayen and Urdaneta offices. (Eva Visperas)
