DA gives financial aid to Manaoag rice farmers
SOME 1,789 rice farmers in Manaoag received P7,000 each as cash assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA) through the Rice Farmer Financial Assistance (RFFA) program last June 13.
Distributed at the Manaoag Sports Complex, the financial aid is provided to rice farmers with landholdings ranging from half to two hectares, to support small-scale farmers from the impact of the rice tariffication law and increasing farming costs.
The distribution was spearheaded by Mayor Jeremy Rosario and Municipal Agriculture Officer Engr. Arnold Geronimo. (Kim Gealogo)
