Over 2,000 overseas jobs offered at Mangaldan fair
HUNDREDS of applicants were hired on the spot during a special recruitment activity organized by the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of Mangaldan in collaboration with 1st Northern International Placement, Inc. last May 14 at the Municipal Wellness Center.
Helen Abalos-Aquino, Mangaldan PESO officer, said some 2,800 job openings were offered for overseas placement in Qatar, USA, Malaysia, UAE, Germany, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Dubai, and Thailand.
Among those hired will be babysitters, caregivers, lady drivers, and domestic helpers.
The other applicants were screened and advised to wait for further updates from the agency.
The local government of Mangaldan advised the public to stay informed on further job fairs and recruitment activities through the Public Information Office. (Kim Gealogo)
