GOV. Ramon Guico III hailed the province’s Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (SGFH) for 2024, saying that “transparency, integrity and accountability in financial management is the hallmark of excellence in local governance.”

In receiving the seal, the governor acknowledged the role of Vice Gov. Mark Lambino and all provincial executives and employees in the achievement.

“The high performance of the Provincial Government in multiplying its revenues outside of the National Tax Allocation like in quarrying taxes and real estate and other property taxes, to name just a few, demonstrates that unprecedented growth can be achieved with genuine concern, first-rate competence, and creative commitment,” he said.

The province, its four cities, and 42 of the 44 municipalities received an SGFH for 2024. The two towns that did not make it to the list are Binmaley and Umingan. (PIMRO/RFR)
