Dagupan residents get livelihood aid from DSWD, Cayetanos
ENTREPRENEURS and members of the fishery sector in Dagupan City received financial aid of P15,000 each under the Sustainable Livelihood Assistance Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which was made possible with the help of Senator Pia Cayetano and her brother, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano.
Acting Mayor Bryan Kua said the 306 beneficiaries were sari-sari store owners, fish vendors, and fisherfolk who received the cash aid to boost their seed capital and improve their living conditions.
In addition, three associations of bangus growers and fish cage operators from the island barangays of Salapingao and Pugaro also received seed capital from DSWD.
A representative from the offices of the two senators, personnel of the DSWD Field Office 1 and from the City Social Welfare and Development witnessed the distribution of the financial assistance at the Dagupan City Plaza. (Leonardo Micua)
