PhilHealth Ilocos promotes Konsulta package
THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-Regional Office 1 is encouraging its members to avail of the Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) package, which allows members to get free consultation at their primary care provider of choice.
“There’s a lot of ways to register. It can be through online registration or they can visit their local government units (LGUs), PhilHealth local health insurance offices, and PhilHealth-Corporate Action Center,” said Dr. Maricar Arzadon, chief of the health care division of PhilHealth Region 1.
Each PhilHealth member is entitled to a ₱1,700 Konsulta package benefit per year.
She said the Konsulta program, which is the comprehensive outpatient benefits mandated since 2022 under the Universal Health Care Law, has around 161 accredited healthcare providers in the region, 12 of which are private.
All LGUs and government hospitals in Pangasinan have already been accredited by PhilHealth.
Dr. Majesty-Ritchie Cor Parayno, medical specialist of the benefit administrative sector of PhilHealth Region 1, said 15 selected diagnostic services of Konsulta include complete blood count (CBC) with platelet count, lipid profile, fasting blood sugar (FBS), oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), creatinine, chest x-ray, sputum microscopy, electrocardiogram (ECG), mammogram, different types of ultrasounds, urinalysis, pap smear, fecalysis, and fecal occult blood test.
Aside from the primary care services, the Konsulta package also provides 21 free selected drugs and medicines. (PIA Pangasinan/MJTAB/AMB/EMSA/KCC)
