Pag-IBIG calamity loan for Calasiao, Mangatarem still open
MEMBERS of the Home Development Mutual Fund (or Pag-IBIG), from Calasiao and Mangatarem, can still avail of a calamity loan following recent flooding events in these towns.
Jonah Grace Oxiles, Division Head of the Marketing and Sales Division at Pag-IBIG Dagupan Branch, said applications can be submitted at the agency’s offices or through the Pag-IBIG app.
Affected Pag-IBIG members can get up to 80% of their total contributions or savings. Applicants must be active members with at least two years of membership.
A State of Calamity declaration allows for a 90-calendar-day period during which eligible individuals can apply for this financial assistance.
Mangatarem was the first to declare a State of Calamity on August 6 due to the impact of Typhoon Carina, and the deadline for submitting applications in that town is October 3.
Members from Calasiao, who experienced flooding caused by Typhoon Enteng followed by the southwest monsoon, can apply for the loan until December 5 after being declared under a state of calamity on September 7. (Ahikam Pasion)
