DTI finds 6 establishments violating standard laws
THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently issued notices of violation to six establishments across the province during its comprehensive inspection rounds.
DTI Pangasinan Provincial Director Natalia Dalaten confirmed that these establishments violated standard laws and the accreditation requirements for service and repair shops outlined in Presidential Decree 1572.
All violators paid a total fine of P17,500 to the DTI.
During the enforcement operation, sub-standard blenders, ceiling fans, and steel bars were confiscated.
Despite these violations, DTI Pangasinan emphasized that 99.58% of business owners in the province continue to comply with laws and guidelines.
Dalaten also reminded consumers to check the presence of a PS Mark or ICC mark on products they purchase. (Ahikam Pasion)
