Third District farmers get P126-M of farm machineries, inputs
FARMERS in the Third District received P126-million worth of farm machineries, seedlings, fertilizers and other services and assistance last week.
In her Facebook post, Rep. Rachel Arenas Arenas said the distribution was made possible by her continuing coordination with the Department of Agriculture (DA).
“As your representative in Congress, we will continue to fight for the welfare of our farmers while ensuring a continuing government assistance for this sector in our society,” Arenas said.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post of Balon Bayambang, the local government said that its farmers received on May 24 some P32-million worth of farm inputs from the DA Regional Field Office 1 through the help of Congresswoman Arenas.
Given to a farmers’ association were 5,883 bags of hybrid rice seeds, four units of pump and engine set for Abanteam Distrito Otso Bayambang Cluster Organization Inc.; 100 plastic crates for Maigpa Farmers Association Inc.; 35 plastic crates, 32 packs foliar fertilizer for Sangcagulis Barangay Council Council (Gulayan sa Barangay); 81 packs of foliar fertilizer for Segundo Cluster Agri Products; 100 plastic crates, 33 bottles of botanical pesticide, 83 packs of foliar fertilizer and 50 plastic drums for Gabay sa Bagong Pag-asa Pangasinan Cluster Association Inc (Eva Visperas)
