THE Women’s Unity for Progress and Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (MPC) in Mapandan recently received a significant boost from the Department of Agriculture (DA) under its KADIWA Financial Grant Assistance program.

The cooperative was handed a P3-M check to support their agricultural endeavors.

Annabelle Meneses and Anastacia Cabida, general manager and treasurer, respectively, of the cooperative, accepted the check. The funds will be allocated for the purchase of a delivery vehicle, enhancing the cooperative’s logistics capabilities, and construction of a warehouse for their palay trading and rice retailing operations.

The KADIWA Financial Grant Assistance is an initiative by the DA’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD).

Its primary goal is to provide financial and logistical support to Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs), local government units (LGUs), and state colleges and universities.

The Mapandan Farmer’s Cooperative thanked DA for the timely assistance, which will further empower them to serve their community more efficiently. (Ahikam Pasion)
