DSWD provides P1.3-M seed capital for MSMEs in 4 towns
THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 1 granted a P1,380,000 Seed Capital Fund (SCF) to residents of Mangatarem, Lingayen, Aguilar, and Labrador on May 22.
The Fund enabled 92 beneficiaries to complete a series of Micro-Enterprise Development Training courses designed to enhance their leadership skills and financial literacy in order to prepare them for becoming successful business owners.
Marie Angela Gopalan, DSWD Field Office 1 Regional Director, said the SCF will help the recipients access assets necessary for their chosen micro-enterprises based on their skills and interests to improve their socio-economic conditions.
She said the beneficiaries will be observed to make sure their chosen or entered business operates properly. (Kim Gealogo)
