TRANSPORTATION groups in Pangasinan have agreed to consolidate but not for the PUV Modernization Program.

Bernard Tuliao, AutoPro-Pangasinan president, said all transport cooperatives, corporations, and groups in the province agreed and formed the ‘One Pangasinan Transport Federation’ (OPTF), to unite the transportation sector in the province.

Tuliao was elected president of OPTF by 19 chairmen of cooperatives and transport groups on Wednesday, January 17.

After his election, Tuliao said AutoPro will, henceforth, be named OPTF but said the name Auto-Pro will continue to be used until the registration of OPTF with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is completed.

Tuliao, in an interview, said his first duty as OPTF president is to propose changes in some provisions of the approved local public transport route plan (LPTRP) or route rationalization in the province that was approved by the LTFRB Region I and the provincial government.

He said he already requested for public consultation with the provincial government and LTFRB to discuss the proposed amendments. (Ahikam Pasion)
