106 farmers graduate from DAR’s Farm Business School
THE Farm Business School (FBS) Program of the Department of Agrarian Reform issued certificates of completion to 106 farmers from various agrarian reform beneficiary organizations (ARBO) in towns of Umingan, Calasiao and Bautista last January 19, 2024 at the DAR Office in Sta. Barbara.
The farmers are affiliated with Baksayan Irrigators in Umingan, Aliguas Dumaralos, Inc. in Buenlag, Calasiao, and the Artacho Farmers Association in Bautista.
They studied eight modules covering various aspects of farming business management and entrepreneurship, consisting of 25 training sessions.
DAR Regional Director Maria Ana Francisco said DAR’s primary objective in launching the project is to develop the entrepreneurial skills of local farmers and transform their farms into profitable businesses.
The farmers’ graduation ceremony was attended by Francisco, Regente Dioneda, OIC of the Bureau of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development. (Kim Gaelogo)
