THE San Carlos City government in collaboration with the City Cooperative Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Development Office (CCELDO),launched a livelihood assistance program for the ‘Bamboo and Taho’ industry at the Resuello Sports Complex on November 6, 2023.

Some 40 small-scale entrepreneurs in Balite Sur, Magtaking, Naguilayan, and Turac involved in bamboo and taho production attended the seminar.

To assist the participants, Mayor Julier Resuello and CCELDO Officer Arlaine De Vera distributed thirty bamboo poles to kickstart their ‘bilao’-making businesses, and heavy-duty machinery, including soya grinders for the Barangay Bogaoan Soya Processors Association, to enhance its members’ taho-making operations.

The continuing livelihood program aims to support local entrepreneurs in establishing businesses that optimize financial resources, particularly benefiting those facing financial challenges and unemployment. (Kim Gealogo)
