Dagupan SP urges Pamana: Address Pantal’s water woes
IN response to complaints about inadequate potable water in Barangay Pantal, the Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod passed a resolution, authored by Councilor Dennis Canto, urging Pamana Water Corporation to resolve the problem.
Canto said Pamana, as the water service provider in Dagupan, must investigate and rectify reported impurities affecting water quality in the existing supply after the October 20 incident when Pamana’s main pipeline was damaged during a construction work at a major intersection in the city.
Despite the setback, Pamana promptly distributed water using its tanks to affected households that had been without water for hours. Canto expressed hope that the company would continue such efforts in similar incidents, acknowledging the latter’s quick response.
The resolution received bipartisan support from both the minority and majority blocs. (Leonardo Micua)
