IN observance of the National Cooperative Month, the San Carlos City government, through its City Cooperative Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Development Office (CCELDO), organized a two-day industrial sewing training program in Barangay Nalintap.

Supported by Mayor Juliet Resuello, the training took place on September 28 and 29 under the guidance of CCELDO officer Arlaine De Vera.  A total of 16 residents participated.

The training included a demonstration of pillow-making using recycled plastic covers and wrappers, repurposed as fillers for pillows. Regine Lerio, a staff member of CCELDO, shared her sewing skills, guiding participants through fabric sewing procedures, industrial machine components, and product cost considerations.

De Vera said the program not only empowers small-scale entrepreneurs to generate income but also encourages environmental sustainability by utilizing recycled materials in their creations. (Kim Gealogo)
