Pangasinan is 2022’s 7th highest earning province
PANGASINAN has been ranked number seven in the list of the highest-earning provinces in the Philippines for the year 2022.
This is according to the Commission on Audit’s Annual Financial Report of Local Government Units (LGUs).
This achievement is the result of good fiscal management, with a strong focus on implementing an updated revenue code for the province.
The passage of Provincial Tax Ordinance No. 1-2022, as well as strict implementation and monitoring of various tax impositions, contributed significantly to the increased revenue.
The province’s total tax revenue, including local and national taxes, reached over PHP 5.9 billion, with additional income from various sources.
With continued efforts in tax collection and responsible expenditure, Pangasinan is set to build more development projects.
The province’s economic growth and fiscal reforms are expected to position it even higher in the rankings in the coming years. (Pangsinan PIO/RRB)
