20,000 tilapia fingerlings dispersed in Urbiztondo waters
THE Urbiztondo municipal government recently dispersed 20,000 tilapia fingerlings in rivers, streams, and creeks across the town.
Led by Mayor Modesto Operania, the dispersal took place in various bodies of water in barangays Baug, Bayaoas, and Gueteb. The primary goal of this effort is to boost the town’s agriculture and fishing industries, with the aim of increasing revenue and ensuring a food source for local farmers, fishermen, and their families.
Additionally, the local government plans to disperse another batch of 46,000 tilapia fingerlings in different areas of Urbiztondo in weeks ahead. (Kim Gealogo)
