LTO Dagupan releases 5,000 plates
THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Dagupan City succeeded in clearing a backlog of 5,000 replacement plates for vehicles registered since 2015. LTO Dagupan District Officer Romel Dawatan announced that the central office sent these replacement plates, numbers 1 to 9.
Dawatan urged motor vehicle registrants who have paid for replacement plates under the Motor Vehicle Standardization Program since 2015 to collect their new plates at the LTO Dagupan office. The older white background plates with green lettering have been replaced with white background plates and black lettering.
Despite challenges such as address changes and vehicle sales, the LTO Dagupan Office is committed to reducing the backlog to zero and has introduced the “Oplan Plaka Mo, Deliver Ko” program to deliver replacement plates to registrants’ homes during weekends and vacant hours. (Ahikam Pasion)
