DPWH constructs P72-M flood mitigation structure in Alaminos City
THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-First District Engineering Office is constructing a flood mitigation structure at Pogo village in Alaminos City to provide defense against flooding.
Esperanza Tinaza, information officer of DPWH Ilocos, said the flood mitigation structure has a length of 364 meters to manage flood water flow.
Tinaza said, “It can protect the community against potential damage and other unfortunate events that could harm the lives of the people and prevent floods from causing disruptions to the local economy.”
The project started on April 13, 2023, and is set to be completed this year. (PIA Pangasinan/AMMB)
