Calasiao suffers P2.6-M damage in agri
THE municipality of Calasiao recorded P2.6 million damage in agricultural during the onslaught of Super Typhoon Egay and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (habagat).
Kristine Joy Soriano of the Calasiao Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), said as of Wednesday, August 2, 2023, damaged palay have reached P2.44 million, while damage in high value crops was estimated at PHP 164,000.
Damage to infrastructure was estimated at P600,000: P350,000 in Bued National High School, whose roofing has crashed, while the Songkoy Elementary School has suffered P300,000 damage.
As of August 02, 45 families were evacuated, two families have returned home, or 150 individuals evacuated. (Ahikam Pasion)
