TWO engineering offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) were cited as the ‘Most Outstanding District Engineering Offices’ in the Philippines for their exceptional performances in 2022.

Pangasinan Fourth District Engineering Office, led by officer-in-charge Assistant Regional Director and Concurrent DE Mathias Malenab was named Most Outstanding District Engineering Office while Pangasinan Second District Engineering Office, headed by District Engineer (DE) Edita Manuel was cited as first runner-up.

The awards were presented to Malenab and Manuel and by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan during the agency’s 125th Founding Anniversary on Friday.

The two offices in Pangasinan were cited out of 193 district offices in the entire country, recognized based on their technical performance, planning performance, financial management, procurement management, and resolution rating on stakeholders’ complaints.

Meanwhile, the DPWH Regional Office I bagged the Most Outstanding Regional Office Award among the 16 regional offices nationwide with an overall rating of 92.5 percent. (PIA Pangasinan/EMSA)
