Philexport ‘s First Concept Store opens in SM Urdaneta
THE province’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are expected to benefit from the opening of the ‘First Concept Store’ by the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (Philexport), at the SM Urdaneta Central last week.
Philexport partnered with SM and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–Pangasinan in launching the project that features local products being sold by MSMEs in Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte.
DTI Pangasinan Provincial Director Natalia Dalaten said the concept store features more than 40 different products, located at the 3rd floor of said shopping mall.
Among the products featured include the locally produced brown and red rice from Bayambang town, saluyot crisp of Urdaneta City, cocoa nibs from Alcala town, and other food and non-food items.
The store serves as one-stop-shop for visitors and tourists shopping for souvenir foods and locally produced items.
Jocelyn Perez, Philexport Region I president, urged MSMEs to register so they can expand their target market. (Ahikam Pasion)
