SINAG assures enough onion supply in Pangasinan

THE Samahan ng Industriya at Agrikultura (SINAG) has assured that there is enough supply of onion in Pangasinan.

Rosendo So, SINAG chairman, said the products of traditional onion farmers of Pangasinan, particularly Bayambang, are currently stored in cold storage houses and could be withdrawn when the needs arises, and believes the current supply of onion stored in cold storage facilities can adequately supply the whole province.

He admitted that there is a minimal increase in the price of onion today but this will not be as high as the level last year.

Still no price  increase for sugar

THE price of white and brown sugar in the local remains the same despite the reported shortage of the commodity that prompted President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to order another sugar importation.

In fact, the P95 per kilo retail price of white sugar today is lower by P5 than the P100 price kilo set previously. One-half kilo of sugar is P50 while one-fourth is P25.
