OVER 19,000 job vacancies for local and overseas employment will be offered to Pangasinenses by more than 100 companies during the Labor Day Jobs Fairs to be held at the PESO Multipurpose Hall in Lingayen; Orbos Gym in Poblacion Norte, Sta. Barbara; and at the event center of Magic Mall in Urdaneta City on May 1.

Justin Paul Marbella, information officer of the Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office 1 (DOLE-RO1), said DOLE Region 1 already listed a 17, 237 local job vacancies and 2,058 employment overseas pooled from 89 local employers and 11 from overseas as of April 26.

Most vacancies are for jobs such as customer service representatives, production operators, microfinance officers, service crews, and sales representatives.

Marbella advised all jobseekers to bring with copies of their resumes and to pre-register using the links posted in the DOLE RO 1 official Facebook page.

Aside from the jobs fair, Marbella added that the public is also welcome to avail the services to be offered in the one-stop-shop of Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Philippine Statistics Authority, National Bureau of Investigation, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Social Security System, and Department of Trade and Industry, among others.
