LTFTRB Oks additional 26 buses to ply routes during Holy Week
TWENTY six buses were given permits by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to serve passengers to and from Region 1 during the Holy Week to ensure the availability of transport and enable passengers going to and from their respective provinces in the north during the Lenten Season.
Those given special permits underwent thorough inspection to ensure that they are in good running condition for the comfort and safety of the commuting public.
In Dagupan City, bus companies called on travelers to buy their tickets early so that they will not overcrowd and queue in terminals. (Ronna Racca)

Not enough buses, night commuters complain
COMMUTERS traveling to-and-fro Dagupan, Malasiqui and Bayambang complain about overloading-overcrowding of buses at night where many passengers are made to stand on aisles.
In an interview with IFM Dagupan, commuters said this is always the situation from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. when residents return home from work.
The commuters say they have no choice but to board already overcrowded buses because of serious lack of transport.
Operators are yet to comment on the complaint of commuters. (Jhon Caranto)
