SHOWCASING PANGASINAN’S BEST PRODUCTS

MORE local government units (LGUs) have joined the 14th Agri-Trade Expo that showcases the province’s best products at the beachfront behind the Capitol building for the Agew na Pangasinan and Pista’y Dayat celebrations.

Gov. Ramon Guico III noted the participation of 18 local governments, namely, Agno,  Alcala, Asingan, Bani, Basista,  Bautista, Binalonan, Binmaley, Calasiao, Infanta, Labrador, Lingayen, Manaoag, San Carlos City, San Fabian, Sta. Maria Urbiztondo and Villasis, in the agri-trade expo organized by the Pangasinan Tourism and Cultural Affairs.

He said he hopes Dagupan will also join next year.

Guico said this year’s celebration is “very toned-down” because it is Holy Week and it is appropriate that “we can reflect and open with a very prayerful mood” but nonetheless expressed excitement it being his first Pista’y Dayat celebration as the governor.

He hinted on the upcoming developments in the area that the provincial government has to undertake so that investments, trade and tourism will flourish in the province.

He said the ultimate target is to increase tourists’ arrival and the expo is just an experimental phase to lead to the Pista’y Dayat celebration under his new administration.  (Eva Visperas)
