By March 12, 2023Business

THE construction is expected to start soon after the groundbreaking of the proposed San Manuel, Pangasinan-Itogon, Benguet Road was held last March 4.

The proposed road 46.5 kilometers long with a P1.915 billion budget, will offer residents of Pangasinan faster and more convenient travel to Baguio and Benguet.

According to DPWH Regional Director Ronnel Tan, the proposed road will seek to stimulate  trade and commerce in the Ilocos and Benguet by giving the people shorter, faster and  safer routes to travel and definitely cheaper transport cost.

Senator Imee Marcos, the principal guest during  groundbreaking rite, said that in order to have more accessible route and enhanced travel and tourism in highland areas, and more stable peace and order, a connecting link between Region 1 to Region 2 and 3 and to the Cordillera Administrative Region is needed.
